It is also ideally based to reach across the water to Ireland by ferry from Fishguard.

The headland at Dinas is one of the most spectacular along the Pembrokeshire Coast (which is saying a great deal). At 463 feet in height, the cliffs at Dinas Head provide excellent views across Fishguard Bay to the south and Newport Bay to the north.

The historic city of St Davids with its fine 12th century Cathedral, Bishops Palace and St Non's Chapel (birthplace of St David) is within easy reach.
